Union Sports Arena

Sonesoccer is pleased to continue it’s indoor provision in the Union / Middlesex / Essex / Somerset County areas by offering team training and our own programs at the Union Sports Arena. The arena is conveniently located on Rte 22, but can also be accessed without driving on to Rte 22 through Liberty Ave / Springfield Ave North. The arena is 5 minutes from Millburn, Union and the Parkway, 10 minutes from Scotch Plains and Maplewood and less than 15 from Westfield, Clark and Cranford, making it almost uniquely accessible. As well as two indoor soccer fields (90 x 50), the arena has a well appointed snack / waiting area with sofas and color televisions. As a building rather than a “bubble”, the fields are far easier to heat, providing a safe and comfortable environment in which training can take place.

With a very competitive pricing structure, we are pleased to offer integrated field / trainer 10 week packages running from the start of January 2007, through to the middle of March, with the opportunity to extend in the case of inclement weather. Directions

From Millburn: Main Street or Millburn Ave to Morris Ave East. Halof a mile from the the BP station, turn right at the Spruce St traffic light, and follow through to Liberty Ave (0.5 mile). Turn right onto Liberty, follow through two lights (0.6 mile), and turn left into the Union Shopping Plaza (there are signs for the Investors Savings Bank, Pathmark and Best Buy). Go through the parking area of the plaza and take the driveway between Pathmark and Best Buy.

From the North: South on Garden State Parkway to Exit 140A. Take Route 22 West for 2 miles. Union Sports Arena is the building behind the Pizza Hut on the right.

Alternate From the North: South on Garden State Parkway, west on Route 78. Take exit 50A: Union. Cross over 78 and at the light take a right onto Liberty. Follow Liberty about 2.5 miles (You will pass Morris Ave and Shoprite.) Make a left turn into the Union Plaza Shopping Center (there are signs for the Investors Savings Bank, Pathmark and Best Buy). Go through the parking area of the plaza and take the driveway between Pathmark and Best Buy.

From the South: North on Garden State Parkway to Exit 140. Stay to left and follow signs for U-turn to Route 22 West. Take Route 22 West for 2 miles. Union Sports Arena is the building behind the Pizza Hut on the right.

From the West: Route 22 East to U-turn just past the "PC Richard" store. Take Route 22 West for a short distance. Union Sports Arena is the building behind the Pizza Hut on the right.

Alternate from the West: Route 24 East to Route 78 East to exit 49A Union/Springfield. Go to the third light and take a left onto Milltown Rd. Go 1.5 miles and take a right onto Liberty. Go up a block and make a left turn into the Union Plaza Shopping Center (there are signs for the Investors Savings Bank, Pathmark and Best Buy). Go through the parking area of the plaza and take the driveway between Pathmark and Best Buy.

From the East: Route 22 West until 2 miles past the Garden State Parkway. Union Sports Arena is the building behind the Pizza Hut on the right.
